What You Need to Know About the Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) and Your Employee Benefits

Coverage – COVID-19 Testing & Treatment coverage varies by Insurance Carrier and Plan Type.  AHIP is providing an updated list of Insurance Carrier responses to the Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19). 

For additional information or clarification on your specific plan, members should contact the Member Services number on the back of their member ID card.  Please be prepared and patient as you will likely experience higher hold times than normal as the health carriers are doing their best to provide the most recent up to date information and adjust their services as necessary.

Telemedicine Services – Many Insurance Carriers have partnered with Telemedicine Services to limit exposure in physician offices.  These include LiveHealth Online for Anthem clients, MDLive for Optima clients, the CVS MinuteClinic App for Aetna clients, the UnitedHealthcare app for united Healthcare clients, and the HealthiestYou app for All Saver clients.  Please visit your Insurance Carrier websites for more information on these services.

Employee Communication and Business Health and Safety – TWG Insurance clients can access ThinkHR, a cloud-based HR & Compliance platform, to obtain Sample Communications to Employees, Tips to Handle an Infectious Disease Outbreak, Telecommuting guidance, and updated information from the CDC, OSHA, EEOC, and HHS.
